Driven by an impoverished and traumatic childhood, Black performer Josephine Baker flees the race riots of Jim Crow America to become a sensation in Jazz Age Paris. Navigating a tempestuous yet defining partnership with her manager-lover Pepito and multiple marriages, bisexual Josephine channels her hunger for acceptance and overwhelming need to be loved into a lifelong crusade for racial equality - only to lose her fortune and family in pursuit of a dream where life must never be judged in black and white.

Based on the life of Josephine Baker, Dreaming In Colour is currently being rewritten.  

Some years ago we recorded four demo tracks which you can listen to on this page. These incarnations of the four songs are not quite in the form we now have in the show but they give a good example of the musical and lyrical style. 

And we've added below one or two extra song "Sketches" and sample orchestrations.
